Chukyo High School offers many club activities , but one group stands out for its energy , passion, and team work
More Than Just Music : the Brass Band Club !!

The Brass Band Club isn’t just about playing instruments. It’s about becoming a better person.
Members focus on personal growth- learning responsibility, discipline , and how to work well with others. There are skills that will help them succeed even after graduation.
Practice is Hard but Fun
. About 3 hours on weekdays
. About a full 7 hours on weekends!!
Even with such a busy schedule , the atmosphere is fun and friendly. Senior and joiner members get along well, and sometimes they split into teams to help each other improve.
Performing in and Out of school
The band performs at various events throughout the year, such as :
. School ceremonies
. Cultural festivals
. Local community events
. Competitive
. School festival
Among these, the most memorable performances for students are the cheering at baseball games and the annual concert to send off the graduating seniors.

A Song Everyone Loves
Ask any band member what their favorite song is, and they’ll probably say “Takarajima.” It’s super fun to play—and just as fun to listen to!
Junior members say they really enjoy practice because the seniors are kind and always willing to help when something is unclear. The band is full of friendly, funny seniors who keep the mood light and enjoyable.
A funny episode you can’t miss !!!
During one practice, the conductor, Kojima, accidentally hit his own glasses while conducting—and they fell off in the middle of the performance. Everyone burst into laughter, and for a moment, no one could keep playing.
Introduce of our brass band teacher
Next, I would like to introduce the teacher of our school’s brass band.
His name is Mr. Masuda, and he is a very kind and funny teacher.
He always make us laugh and create a friendly atmosphere.
However , when he plays his instrument, he changes completely.
He becomes serious and produces such a beautiful and elegant sound that everyone is impressed.
Mr. Masuda’s specialty is the flute , and he is truly skilled.
His hobby is playing various kinds of music, and his favorite food is melon.
The band’s goal for this year to perform with smile and have fun while playing.
Our goal as a club is to get a high score in the contest, and Mr. Masuda’s personal goal for this year is to lose weight !!!!!

A team that grows together
The Brass band clubs has 42 members who work hard together.
Every time they practice, they become closer as a team. Their music gets better, more together , and more fun to listen to.
