Do you know how to enjoy school festival in Chukyo? It’s eating many kinds of tasty foods there. About 20 food trucks are lined up in laykold during a school festival. We can enjoy not only class attractions but also foods.
The smell of fried dishes and sweet desserts fills the air, and just walking around makes people exited.
The kinds of foods
Do you want to know what types of foods you can eat? You can eat everything from salty foods to sweet treats! For salty foods, there were french fries, takoyaki and karaage. For sweets, shaved ice, crepes and churros were sold. As I mentioned, there were a lot of foods, so many people enjoyed sharing different foods with their friends and taking pictures before eating. Some trucks made a long line, but even waiting in line felt like fun part of the school festival.

The popular food
The popular food was definitely karaage!
When I was walking in the laykold area, so many students were lined up in front of that truck, and many of them were already eating that. I bought it too! That karaage had various kinds of flavors such as sweet chili, garlic soy sauce, salt, and more. I chose the salt flavor, and it was so crispy and juicy. That was big enough to share, but it was so good that I ate it all by myself.
Candied fruit was also attracted long lines. It was a food that had been trend, so a lot of students were buying it and taking pictures. Especially, candied strawberries were eaten by a lot of people.
With a wide variety of food available, even picky eaters can fully enjoy the cultural festival.

Why food trucks make the festival special
The food trucks make the school festival feel more exciting and happily. They bring colors, smells, and energy to the event. Also, they give students a chance to try foods they usually cannot eat at school. Eating outside with friends, laughing, taking pictures, and waiting in lines all created memories that last a long time. For many students, food trucks are not just places to eat, they are an important part of the festival. Without them, the festival wouldn’t feel as fun.
In conclusion
Over all, the food trucks made the whole school festival way more fun. Eating outside with friends, trying foods we usually cannot have at school, and getting excited with our favorite snacks made the day really memorable. Even just walking around and checking out all the food trucks felt like an adventure. That’s why the food trucks were one of the best part of the school festival for me.
