First, why I thought baseball club is the symbol of Chukyo
-Because they are famous. I’m attending to this school from a little bit far away, but my friends always told me “Oh Chukyo’s baseball club is very famous.”
They are playing baseball with a total of 82 members.
I interviewed with people in the baseball team so I’m going to introduce some information.
-What is the most important thing?
Coach : Run as fast as possible within the ground and make the practice lively
Captain : Practice with energy because if the team is bright, they play better
Manager : Make what the coaches and players want a top priority
-What is the goal of this club?
Coach : Play in the Koshien (National High School Baseball Championship and go beyond their best achievement of finishing in the top 4
Captain : Not only play in the Koshien but also becoming a team that can win on there
-What’s this team’s biggest advantage?
Coach : Each member has a unique personality, and when united, they become a great team and their honest effort
Captain : The ability to bring to the best qualities in diverse individuals
-What is the schedule of this team?
・running as a warm-up
・throwing a ball to warm up the shoulders
・defensive practice and batting practice
・working out in the weight room
From these answers, I thought that there is a good relationship where the players give their all to baseball, and the coaches and managers fully support them. When I asked about their practice schedule, the manager explained the purpose of each exercise, which made me realize that they always closely observe the practice. And also I felt the team’s strong bond because the coach and players are aligned in their views on the team’s strengths and objectives.
In the school, they always greet to teacher and someone who visited Chukyo. I think it’s very important to greet if you play sport. You can show your sincerity and passion to people around you. And that can make people around you want to support you. So I’m sure that a lot of people in the Chukyo support this team. Usually we can’t see their effort. But this time I could know that they give every thing they have got making their dreams come true.We should proud of this team for the symbol of Chukyo. I hope that they can play in the Koshien and play well at their game.
