Boy’s trend news 〈High school boy’s items〉

Written By Kaho Miyake

This time I want to talk to you some of the things that high school boys always carry around. This time, I will also introduce the belongings of Canadian high school boys. First, let’s talk about what Japanese high school boys bring to school on a school day. I don’t know much about what boys bring, so I looked it up online. In their school bags, they carry smartphones, lunch boxes, water bottles, textbooks, wallets, earphones, etc. In my impression, boys tend to carry less luggage than girls. Many male students also participate in club activities. It depends on the club, but most of the clubs that boys participate in have designated bags. They put their water bottles, lunches, uniforms, sports goods, shoes, etc. in them when they go to club activities. Many Japanese high school boys use backpacks or shoulder bags on weekends when they don’t have school, and put their smartphones, wallets, books, game consoles, etc. in them. Even on their days off, boys tend to carry less luggage than girls. What kind of things do high school boys overseas carry? I’ve been doing some research. When they go to school, they pack their backpacks with writing utensils, smartphones, water bottles, lunch boxes, and a few binders and notebooks. In addition, there are high schools overseas where students can drive to school, so some students keep their car keys in their bag. On days when they don’t have school, they put their smartphones, earphones, wallets, personal care items, etc. On weekends, they use backpacks or sports bags just like they do on school days, although it varies from person to person. On days when there are club activities, most clubs do not have designated bags like Japanese high school boys, but what they put in their bags is basically the same as what Japanese high school boys put in their bags. When I studied abroad in Canada, I saw many male high school students carrying skateboards. As you can see, there are some differences between Japanese high school boys and those overseas, but there are not many differences.
